Los Nevados National Park was established in March of 1973. It is located in ¨la cordillera central¨ (central coridor of the Andes) and covers 4 deparments of Colombia - Risaralda, Tolima, Caldas and Quindio. The Quindio entrance is the Valley of Cocora. Each of the deparments has its own rules and regulations concerning entrance to the park.

flightsCurrently in Quindio there is no park entrance fee and no requirement to take a guide. However if you are planning to enter the park from the Valley of Cocora then you might consider a guide for part of the journey into the high country.
